The ultraviolet elongated knitted pullover is good not only for its color, but also for its spectacular openwork braid pattern. This model is knitted from cotton yarn.
Dimensions: 38/40 (42/44) 46/48
You will need: yarn (100% cotton; 110 m/50 g) - 600 (650) 700 g purple; knitting needles No. 5; circular knitting needles No. 4, 5 and 5.
Pattern 1: rib = forward and reverse rows (odd number of stitches).
Front rows: edge, alternately 1 front, 1 purl, finish 1 front, edge
Purl rows: knit loops according to the pattern. Circular rows: alternately 1 knit, 1 purl.
Pattern 2: purl stitch = knit rows - purl loops, purl rows - knit stitches.
Pattern 3: openwork pattern of “braids” (the number of loops at the beginning is a multiple of 42 + 21) = first knit according to pattern 1. It shows the front rows.
In the purl rows, knit the loops according to the pattern, knit the yarn overs purl. Start with 1 edge, repeat the repeat all the time, finish with loops after the repeat and 1 edge.
Perform rows 1-8 once, while decreasing in the 1st row according to the diagram. After this, the number of loops is a multiple of 38 + 19.
Attention: for clarity of the transition between patterns, the last front row of the previous pattern 1 is shown in the diagram as row 0.
Continue working according to diagram 2. The number of loops is a multiple of 38 + 19. The diagram also shows the front rows. In the purl rows, knit the loops according to the pattern, knit the yarn overs purl. Repeat rapport constantly, ending with loops to the arrow.
Constantly repeat rows 1-32.
Pattern 4: central pattern (for 19 loops) = knit according to pattern 3. It shows the front rows. In the purl rows, knit the loops according to the pattern, knit the yarn overs purl.
Perform rows 1-40 once, then constantly repeat rows 9-40.
Attention: for clarity of the transition between patterns, the last front row of the previous pattern 1 is shown in the diagram as row 0.
Average knitting density: 19 p. x 29 r. = 10 x 10 cm.
Description of work:
Back: cast on 107 (115) 123 loops on knitting needles and knit 12 cm with pattern 1. Continue working as follows: edge, 0 (4) 8 stitches with pattern 2, 105 stitches with pattern 3, 0 (4) 8 stitches with pattern 2, edge . After the 1st row there will be 97 (105) 113 sts on the needles.
After 48.5 cm = 140 rows from the bar, close 1 x 6 stitches on both sides for the shoulder bevel, then in every 2nd row 3 x 5 (6) 7 stitches.
Simultaneously with the beginning of knitting the shoulder bevel, close off the middle 25 stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately. To round along the inner edge, cast off 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row.
After 51 cm = 148 rows from the bar, close off the remaining 5 (6) 7 stitches of shoulders.
Before: knit like a back, but for a deeper neckline, already after 44 cm = 128 rows from the bar, close the middle 15 p., then for rounding along the inner edge, close in every 2nd row 1 x 5 p., 1 x 3 p., 2 x 2 p. and 3 x 1 p.
Sleeves: cast on 45 (49) 53 loops on the knitting needles for each sleeve and knit 10 cm for the placket with pattern 1. Continue working as follows: edge, 12 (14) 16 p. pattern 2.19 p. pattern 4.12 (14) 16 p. pattern 2, edge.
After 16.5 cm = 48 rows from the bar, add 1 x 1 p. to bevel the sleeves on both sides, then in every 8th row 5 x 1 p. and in every 6th row 2 x 1 p. (in each 6th row 9 x 1 p.) alternately in every 4th and 6th row 11 x 1 p. pattern 2 = 61 (69) 77 p. After 37 cm = 108 rows from the bar, close all loops.
Assembly: sew shoulder seams. For the strap, cast on 106 stitches on circular needles No. 5 along the edge of the neckline and knit with pattern 1 in circular rows. After 3 cm from the start of knitting the bar, switch to circular knitting needles No. 4.5 and with a bar width of 4.5 cm, bind off all the loops according to the pattern. Sew in the sleeves, sew side seams and sleeve seams.
