Knitting technique.
Seashell pattern: knit according to the pattern, start with the loops before the repeat, repeat the repeat loops and finish according to the pattern. Replace the 1st loop of each row with the number of air loops indicated in the diagram. Perform rows 1 to 4-1 once, then repeat from rows 2 to 4.
Knitting density: 24 p. and 7 r. = 10 x 10 cm or respectively 1 shell motif = 2.5 cm wide.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Before: tie a chain of 133 (145) 157 air. p. + 3 air. p. lifting instead of the 1st st. double crochet For the plank, knit 4 rows of st. with a double crochet, while in the 4th row for the drawstring, skip 2 loops on both sides of the middle 7 loops, knitting 2 air. p. Then knit with a pattern of “shells” = 22 (24) 26 motifs of “shells”. After 55.5 cm from the cast-on edge, leave the middle 4 motifs for the neckline and finish both sides separately. From the inner edge, reduce for a rounded neckline in every 2 rows, 2 x 1 motif. Finish the work 62.5 cm from the cast-on edge.
Back: knit similarly to the front, but after 61 cm from the cast-on edge, leave the middle 8 motifs for the neckline.
Sleeves: knit in a chain of 55 (55) 61 air. p. + 3 air. p. lifting instead of the 1st st. double crochet For the plank, knit 2 rows of st. double crochet Then knit with a pattern of “shells” = 9 (9) 10 motifs of “shells”. At the same time, for the bevels of the sleeves, add 5 (6) 6 x 1 motif on both sides in each 4th row and for size 36/38 1 x 1/2 motif. Finish the work 39 cm from the cast-on edge.
Hood: for the 1st half, knit a chain of 55 air. p. + 3 air. p. lifting instead of the 1st st. double crochet Then knit with a “shell” pattern. After 24.5 cm from the cast-on edge, to give the hood the appropriate shape, on the right side in each row, subtract 4 x 1 motif. Finish the work 31.5 cm from the cast-on edge. Knit the 2nd half symmetrically. Sew the back seam of the hood. Tie the front edge of the hood for the placket in 4 rows, st. double crochet Fold the strip in half inward and sew it on. Leave the narrow sides of the drawstring open.
Assembly: perform shoulder seams, tie the neckline with 1 round row of st. double crochet Sew the hood into the neckline of the pullover behind the trim, starting and ending at the middle of the front, if necessary, slightly press the edge of the hood.
