Jumper “Rain Dance”
Pullover sizes: S (M, L, XL, XXXL).
You will need: 550 (600, 700, 750, 800, 900) grams of gray-blue (color 8907) Drops Nepal yarn 75m/50g. Hook No. 5.5.
Pullover knitting density: 13 double crochets in width by 8 rows in height corresponds to 10 by 10 cm.
Pattern: knit according to pattern A.
Crochet: Instead of the 1st double crochet in a circular row, perform 3 chain stitches. Finish the circular row with 1 connecting stitch in the 3rd chain stitch at the beginning of the circular row.
Air loops: pay attention to the fact that air loops are performed not only at the end of the hook, but along the entire hook, otherwise they will turn out to be too tight. 1 chain stitch should be equal in width to 1 double crochet.
Curvy loop: * 1 yarn over, insert the hook into the double crochet, grab the thread and pull it out about 2 cm *, from* to* perform a total of 4 times = 9 loops on the hook, 1 yarn over and pull the yarn over through all 9 loops.
Increase in loops (along the side lines of the front and back): add 1 loop, making 2 loops in one base loop. Add stitches on both sides of the marker as follows: knit 4 stitches short of the marker, increase 1 stitch in the next stitch, knit 6 stitches (the marker is located midway between these 6 stitches), increase 1 stitch in the next stitch (= increase 2 stitches each marker and a total increase of 4 stitches per row).
Decrease loops (for sleeves): decrease 1 double crochet on both sides of the marker as follows: knit without reaching 3 stitches to the marker, knit 2 double crochets together - see below - 1 double crochet in the next 2 double crochets (the marker is located in the middle between these loops), knit 2 double crochets together.
Knit 2 double crochets together: * 1 yarn over, insert the hook into the next loop, grab the thread, make 1 yarn over and pull it through the first 2 loops on the hook *, from * to *, perform a total of 2 times, make 1 yarn over and pull it through all 3 loops on the hook (= decrease 1 loop).
Important: The yoke is knitted from top to bottom in circular rows from the middle of the back. Divide the yoke into the front part with the back and sleeves. The front and back are knitted from top to bottom in circular rows.
The sleeves are knitted from top to bottom in circular rows.
Description of knitting
Yoke
Using 1 thread of Measure crochet number 5.5, knit a chain of 60 (65, 70, 70, 75, 80) chain stitches - see above - and close it into a ring using 1 connecting stitch in the 1st chain stitch. Work 1 double crochet in each chain stitch - see “Crochet” = 60 (65, 70, 70, 75, 80) double crochets.
Knit the next circular row like this: pattern A.1 on all stitches (= 12 (13, 14, 14, 15, 16) repeats A.1 in width, 1st circular row already knitted, start with 2nd circular row) .
Next, knit according to pattern A.1 and increase as shown in the diagram.
After completing pattern A.1 in height, repeat the last 2 circular rows of pattern A.1 2 (2, 3, 4, 4, 4) more times (each time a circular row is worked, do 1 double crochet before each increase) = 168 (182, 210, 224, 240, 256) double crochets. Then work 1 double crochet in each double crochet until the length of the work reaches 20 (20, 23, 25, 25, 27) cm. In the last circular row, evenly distributed, add 8 (6, 2, 8, 8, 4) stitches double crochet = 176 (188, 212, 232, 248, 260) double crochets.
Divide the yoke into the front part with the back and sleeves, i.e. work the next round like this: 1 double crochet in the first 26 (28, 31, 34, 37, 40) double crochets (= half back), 6 (6, 6, 6, 8, 10) free chain stitches ( = side under arm), skip next 36 (38, 44, 48, 50, 50) double crochets (= sleeve), 1 double crochet in next 52 (56, 62, 68, 74, 80) double crochets (= front), 6 (6, 6, 6, 8, 10) free chain stitches (= side under arm), skip next 36 (38, 44, 48, 50, 50) double crochets (= sleeve) and 1 double crochet in the last 26 (28, 31, 34, 37, 40) double crochets (= half back).
Next, knit the front part with the back and the sleeves separately. Now work is measured from here.
Front with back
Total = 116 (124, 136, 148, 164, 180) stitches (including 6 (6, 6, 6, 8, 10) new chain stitches = 58 (62, 68, 74, 82, 90) back stitches and 58 (62, 68, 74, 82, 90) front stitches).
Attach 1 marker on both sides of the front and back, i.e. in the middle between the new air loops. Stretch the markers along with the work when knitting; they will be needed later for increases along the side lines.
Continue working with double crochets in circular rows. When the length of the front and back is 8 cm from the division of work, add 2 loops on both sides - see “Increasing loops.” Similarly, increase every 9 cm a total of 3 times on both sides = 128 (136, 148, 160, 176, 192) loops.
Knit further until the length reaches 32 (34, 33, 33, 35, 37) cm from the division of work. Cut the thread and fasten. Pullover length is about 56 (58, 60, 62, 64, 66) cm from the shoulder.
Sleeves
Knit in circular rows from the bottom center line of the sleeve.
Start in the middle between the 6 (6, 6, 6, 8, 10) double crochets on hand and work 1 double crochet in the first 3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 5) double crochets, then work 1 double crochet each double crochet in the missing 36 (38, 44, 48, 50, 50) double crochets and finish with 1 double crochet in the last 3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 5) double crochets at hand = 42 (44, 50, 54, 58, 60) double crochets.
Attach 1 marker at the lower center line of the sleeve (i.e. at the beginning of the circular row), it will be needed later for decreases at the lower center line of the sleeve. Next, knit 1 double crochet into each double crochet in circular rows.
After 3 cm from dividing the work, decrease 2 double crochets at the lower center line of the sleeve - see “Decreasing stitches.” Similarly, decrease every 8 (8, 6, 4.5, 3.5, 3.5) cm for a total of 5 (5, 7, 8, 9, 9) times = 32 (34, 36, 38, 40 , 42) double crochet.
Continue knitting until the length of the work reaches 44 (45, 43, 42, 42, 41) cm, cut the thread and fasten.
Attention: the shorter length in larger sizes is compensated by a wider neckline and a longer yoke.
Knit the 2nd sleeve in the same way.
Neck strap
Work 1 round double crochet around the edge of the pullover neckline, 1 double crochet around each chain stitch of the chain ring. Cut the thread and fasten.
