You will need: 25 (28) 30 (32) skeins of milky yarn (64% extrafine merino wool, 26% polyamide, 10% angora; 50 m/25 g); knitting needles No. 5 and 6.
Knitting technique.
Rubber: alternately 1 knit, 1 purl.
1 crossed knit: Knit a loop with the front one behind the back wall so that the walls cross.
Fantasy pattern: knit according to patterns A and B, which show the front and back rows.
Wavy Pattern: knit according to pattern C, which shows the front and back rows.
Knitting density.
Fantasy pattern, needles No. 6: 15.5 stitches and 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Wavy pattern, needle size 6: 12.5 stitches and 19 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Back: on knitting needles No. 5, cast on 93 (101) 109 (117) sts and knit 7 cm with an elastic band. Switch to needles No. 6 and continue knitting with a fancy pattern according to pattern A.
For raglan bevels, 52 cm from the starting row, close on both sides at the beginning of each row 1 x 4 p., 10 x 2 p., 10 x 1 p. (1 x 5 p., 10 x 2 p., 11 x 1 p.) 1 x 6 p., 10 x 2 p., 12 x 1 p. (1 x 7 p., 10 x 2 p., 13 x 1 p.) = 25 (29) 33 (37) p.
After 26 (27) 28 (29) cm from the beginning of the raglan, close the loops.
Right shelf: on knitting needles No. 5, cast on 59 (63) 67 (71) sts and knit 7 cm with an elastic band.
Then in the next front row, set aside the first 14 stitches (= placket), switch to needles No. 6 and continue knitting with a fancy pattern according to pattern A (B) A (B).
To cut the neckline, 45 cm from the initial row, close on the right at the beginning of each front row 17 (18) 19 (20) x 1 p.
At the same time, after 52 cm from the initial row, close for a raglan bevel on the left at the beginning of each purl row 1 x 4 p., 10 x 2 p., 2 x 1 p. (1 x 5 p., 10 x 2 p., 3 x 1 p.) 1 x 6 p., 10 x 2 p., 4 x 1 p. (1 x 7 p., 10 x 2 p., 5 x 1 p.).
After 20 (21) 22 (23) cm from the beginning of the raglan, close off the remaining 2 (3) 4 (5) sts.
Left shelf: knit symmetrically to the right shelf.
Sleeves: On needles No. 6, cast on 55 (57) 61 (63) sts and knit with a wavy pattern according to pattern C.
For raglan bevels, 37 cm from the starting row, close on both sides at the beginning of each row 1 x 4 p., 19 x 1 p. (1 x 4 p., 20 x 1 p.) 1 x 5 p., 21 x 1 p. (1 x 5 p., 22 x 1 p.).
After 21 (22) 23 (24) cm from the beginning of the raglan lines, bind off the remaining 9 sts as follows: bind off on the right at the beginning of each front row 3 x 3 sts.
Knit the 2nd sleeve in the same way, but the last 9 stitches should be closed at the beginning of the purl row.
Shelf strips: transfer 14 stitches to needles No. 5 set aside on the right shelf and continue knitting with an elastic band. After 45 cm from the beginning row, increase for the neckline on the left alternately in every next 2nd and in every next 4th row 26 x 1 p. = 40 p. After 41 (43) 45 (48) cm from the beginning of the increase, close on the left in beginning of each purl row 4 x 10 sts.
Knit the left front placket in a mirror image.
Assembly: follow the steps in diagram D. Use a mattress stitch to stitch the seams.
Step 1: Sew longer raglan sleeves and raglan backs.
Stage 2: sew shorter raglan sleeve bevels and raglan front bevels (connect points A). Then sew the front strip (to the end of the increase) along the edge of the front and along the edge of the last 9 stitches of the sleeve (connect points B). Sew a straight line of the strap along the edge of the back neckline, to the middle (connect points C).
Sew the second strip in the same way, then sew the strips in the middle of the back.
Sew side seams and sleeve seams.
