 Jacket Diamonds Galore

The presented jacket is knitted for women, knitted in two types of patterns. The upper part is garter stitch, and the lower part is a large openwork pattern with diamonds. Model from Drops.

Description given on dimensions: L / XL / XXL / XXXL, which corresponds to the following measurement:
Bust: 100-104 / 104-108 / 108-112 / 116-120 cm.

For knitting you will need: yarn Drops Paris: 800 / 850 / 950 / 1050 g, single and circular knitting needles No. 4.5 and No. 5, 3 buttons.

Patterns used
Garter stitch (straight rows): Knit all stitches.
Garter stitch (circular rows): 1 ряд — все петли изнаночные, 2 ряд — все петли лицевые.
Facial surface: в лицевых рядах — лицевые петли, а в изнаночных рядах изнаночные петли.

Diamond Pattern: knit according to the pattern.

Pattern for bottom strap: knit according to the pattern.

Knitting density
Garter stitch: 17 sts x 32 r. = 10 x 10 cm (knitting needles No. 4.5)

Description of knitting

The jacket is knitted in one piece up to the armhole line.

On circular knitting needles No. 4.5, cast on according to the size you need: 251 / 269 / 305 / 323 loops and start knitting from the bottom bar, distributing the loops as follows: 8 stitches of the bar, 9 loops before repeat, 12 / 13 / 15 / 16 rapports, 10 sts after rapport, 8 sts of plank.

In purl rows, knit all stitches.

After 1 repeat of the pattern in height is knitted, the number of loops will be reduced and will be equal to: 199 / 213 / 241 / 255 loops.

To prevent the bar from being pulled together, in every 8th row, knit the bar twice. Having knitted to the end of the row, we knit 8 knits, turn the knitting, 8 knits, then knit a full row as usual.

Next, we continue knitting with a pattern with diamonds, distributing the loops as follows: 8 stitches of the strap, 7 stitches before the repeat, 12 / 13 / 15 / 16 repeats, 8 stitches after the repeat, 8 stitches of the strap. 

As you knit, make three holes for buttons.

At a height of 54 / 55 / 56 / 56 cm from the starting row, on the inside of the knitting, along the edge of the placket, to widen the collar, add 1 loop on both sides. Continue adding stitches every 6th row 11/12/13/14 more times.

Simultaneously with the 1st increase, transfer all knitting to garter stitch, while evenly distributing the loops, decrease 19 / 17 / 25 / 29 loops, excluding the placket loops.

Place markers on the side seams. 50 / 54 / 59 / 64 p. (1st shelf) + 82 / 90 / 100 / 110 p. (back) + 50 / 54 / 59 / 64 p. (2nd shelf). 

At a height of 60 / 62 / 64 / 65 cm from the starting row, to form the armhole line, bind off 3 loops on both sides of the markers. Next, knit each part separately.

Back

To continue forming the armhole line, continue cutting stitches in every 2nd row 2 / 3 / 5 / 7 times for 2 loops and 2 / 3 / 3 / 3 times for 1 loop.

At a height of 79 / 82 / 85 / 87 cm from the starting row, to decorate the neck line, bind off the middle 18 / 20 / 22 / 24 loops. In the next front row, cast off 11 more stitches.

At a height of 81 / 84 / 87 / 89 cm, close all loops.

Shelves
Knit similarly to the back, but without knitting the neckline.

At a height of 81 / 84 / 87 / 89 cm bind off the first 22 shoulder loops for all sizes. Continue knitting the collar in garter stitch to a height of 9 / 9 / 10 / 10 cm. Cast off all stitches.

Sleeve

On circular needles No. 4.5, cast on according to the desired size: 42 / 44 / 46 / 48 stitches and knit in garter stitch. Place a marker at the beginning of the row.

At a height of 8 cm from the starting row, to widen the sleeves, add 1 loop on both sides of the knitting. Continue adding stitches another 11 / 12 / 13 / 14 times every 3.5 / 3 / 2.5 / 2.5 cm, while at a height of 12 cm from the starting row, transfer the stitches to needles No. 5 and continue knitting satin stitch

At a height of 48 / 47 / 45 / 44 cm from the beginning of knitting, to decorate the sleeve cap, bind off 3 loops on both sides of the knitting. Continue cutting stitches in every 2nd row another 3 / 3 / 3 / 3 times for 2 loops, 3 / 4 / 6 / 8 times for 1 loop, then again for 2 loops to a height of 56 / 57 / 57 / 58 cm. Next, cast off 3 loops once and finish knitting.

Assembly and finishing.

Sew shoulder seams. Sew a collar in the center of the back and sew it to the back neck. Sew side seams. Sew in sleeves. Sew buttons.
