DROPS stocking needles sizes 2.5 and 3 mm.
To knit in the round, you can use the MAGIC LOOP technique - in this case, you will need circular knitting needles on 80 cm fishing line of all specified sizes.
Knitting density:
24 stitches and 32 rows in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm.
Note! The knitting needle sizes are given as a guideline. If there are too many stitches in a 10cm knitted pattern, use larger needles. If there are too few stitches in the 10 cm sample, take smaller needles.
EXPLANATIONS FOR KNITTING:
shawl knitting (knitting in rotary rows):
Knit all rows with facial stitches.
1 edge of garter stitch in height = 2 rows of knit stitches.
PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 – A.5. Choose a diagram for your size (refers to diagram A.4). The diagrams show all the rows as they look on the front side of the work.
UNIFORM DECREASES:
To calculate the rhythm of performing uniform decreases, the total number of stitches on the needles (for example, 244 stitches) minus the loops of the straps (12 stitches) is divided by the number of decreases that need to be made (for example, 23) = 10.1.
In this example, for decreasing, knit approximately every 9th and 10th stitches together with a slant to the right (do not decrease on the loops of the straps).
SLEEVE INCREASES:
Knit until there are 2 stitches left before the marker, 1 yarn over, k4 (the marker will remain in the middle of these 4 loops), 1 yarn over. In the next circular row, knit yarn overs with crossed knit stitches so that there are no holes. Next, knit new stitches in stockinette stitch.
BUTTON LOOPES:
Knit the loops on the right bar.
1 loop = knit the 3rd and 4th stitch together from the edge of the loop, make 1 yarn over. In the next row, knit the yarn over with a simple loop so that there is a hole.
Knit buttonholes when the height of the part is equal to:
S: 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, 38 and 45 cm
M: 3, 10, 18, 25, 33, 40 and 47 cm
L: 4, 11, 19, 26, 34, 41 and 49 cm
XL: 4, 12, 20, 28, 36, 44 and 51 cm
XXL: 3, 11, 19, 28, 36, 45 and 53 cm
XXXL: 3, 12, 20, 29, 37, 46 and 55 cm
KNITTING DESCRIPTION:
JACKET, brief description of work:
Body knit in turning rows on circular needles from bottom to top. Knit sleeves in the round on stocking/short circular needles from bottom to top. Combine the body and sleeves and knit the yoke in turning rows.
BODY:
Cast on 244-268-286-316-343-379 stitches using 2.5 mm circular needles using DROPS Safran yarn. Purl 1 row on the wrong side of the work.
Knit the next row on the front side of the work like this: 6 loops of the strap in garter stitch (see explanations for knitting), then knit according to pattern A.1 until 7 loops remain, knit the first loop A.1 for symmetry of the pattern and 6 loops of the strap in garter stitch .
Knit an elastic band to a height of 3 cm, remember that on the right shelf you need to knit LOOPS for a button (see explanations for knitting).
Knit 1 row with knit stitches on the right side of the work and evenly decrease 23-25-25-29-30-36 stitches (see knitting instructions) = 221-243-261-287-313-343 stitches.
Knit 1 row with purl loops on the wrong side of the work, knit the loops of the planks with facial loops.
Change the knitting needles to 3mm circular knitting needles. Knit in stockinette stitch, continue to knit the loops of the straps in garter stitch.
WATCH THE DENSITY OF KNITTING!
When 24-25-26-26-26-26 cm are knitted, in the next row on the wrong side of the work, close the loops for the armholes like this: knit 55-60-64-70-76-83 loops, as before (in front), cast off 6-8-8-10-10-12 sts, knit 99-107-117-127-141-153 sts (back), cast off 6-8-8-10-10-12 sts, knit 55-60- 64-70-76-83 stitches (front). Set the piece aside and knit the sleeves.
SLEEVES:
Cast on 140-147-154-161-168-175 stitches using 2.5 mm double needles and DROPS Safran yarn. Place 1 marker at the beginning of the round. Move the marker as you knit, it will be used when making increases on the sleeve.
Knit 1 round row with knit stitches.
Then knit pattern A.2, 20-21-22-23-24-25 times per round. When A.2 is fully knitted in height, there will be 60-63-66-69-72-75 stitches left on the needles and the height of the piece will be approx. 4 cm.
Change the needles to stocking needles size 3 mm and knit in stockinette stitch.
When the sleeve is knitted to a height of 6-6-7-7-6-5 cm from the cast-on edge, add 1 loop on each side of the marker, at the bottom of the sleeve - see the explanation for knitting.
Increase every 3-2½-1½-1-1-1 cm, for a total of 8-9-12-16-17-17 times = 76-81-90-101-106-109 stitches.
When the sleeve is knitted with a length of 28-28-27-26-24-23 cm, knit the next round as follows: cast off 3-4-4-5-5-6 armhole stitches, knit 70-73-82-91-96- 97 sts and cast off 3-4-4-5-5-6 sts. Cut the thread and pull it through the last loop. Knit the second sleeve as well.
YOKE:
Slip the sleeves onto the same circular needles where the body stitches are placed, in the places where the armhole stitches were closed (without knitting stitches) = 349-373-409-449-485-513 stitches.
Start on the right side of the work and knit 2-2-2-0-4-10 rows of stockinette stitch, continue to knit the loops of the strips in garter stitch (6 loops on both sides).
Knit the next row on the front side of the work like this: 6 loops of the strap in garter stitch, A.3, until there are 7 loops left to the end of the row, knit the first loop A.3 and 6 loops of the strap in garter stitch.
When A.3 is fully knitted in height, knit the next row on the right side of the work like this: 6 loops of the garter stitch, A.4, until 7 loops remain, knit the first loop of A.4 and 6 loops of the garter stitch.
Continue knitting the pattern.
AT THE SAME TIME, in each row marked with an arrow in diagram A.4, make decreases as follows:
Arrow 1: Dec 12-12-12-16-16-20 sts evenly = 337-361-397-433-469-493 sts.
Arrow -2: Dec 24-24-36-42-54-54 sts evenly = 313-337-361-391-415-439 sts.
Arrow -3: Dec 28-36-44-36-42-48 sts evenly = 285-301-317-355-373-391 sts.
Arrow -4: Dec 40-40-48-62-72-74 sts evenly = 245-261-269-293-301-317 sts.
Arrow -5: Dec 40-40-40-48-48-56 sts evenly = 205-221-229-245-253-261 sts.
Arrow -6: Dec 42-52-56-64-68-68 sts evenly = 163-169-173-181-185-193 sts.
When A.4 is knitted high, continue knitting in stockinette stitch and garter stitch on the placket stitches until 20-21-22-24-26-28 cm are knitted from the bottom of the armholes (this is approx. 2-3-4-4 -5-5 cm in stockinette stitch after A.4) – AT THE SAME TIME, in the last row on the right side of the work, evenly decrease 30-32-32-34-34-36 stitches = 133-137-141-147-151-157 stitches . Knit 1 row with purl stitches on the wrong side of the work (strip loops in garter stitch).
NECK:
Change the knitting needles to circular ones of size 2.5 mm.
Knit the first row on the front side of the work like this: 6 loops of the strap in garter stitch, A.5, until 7 loops remain, knit the first loop A.5 and 6 loops of the strap in garter stitch.
Knit an elastic band to a height of 3 cm. Close the loops according to the pattern on the front side of the work.
ASSEMBLY
Sew the undercuts. Sew buttons on the left shelf.
