Crew yoke sweater made from DROPS Nepal yarn, knitted from top to bottom in a leaf pattern.
Dimensions: S — M — L — XL — XXL — XXXL
You will need:
Yarn DROPS NEPAL (65% wool, 35% alpaca, 75m/50g)
550-600-650-700-800-850 g, color 8912, blush
Spokes:
Circular knitting needles DROPS size 5.5 mm, line length 40 and 60-60-60-80-80-80 cm.
Circular knitting needles DROPS size 4.5 mm, line length 40 and 80 cm.
DROPS stocking needles size 4.5 and 5.5 mm.
For knitting in the round, the MAGIC LOOP method can be used, in which case you will only need circular knitting needles with 80 cm fishing line of each size.
Knitting density: 16 stitches and 20 rows in stockinette stitch and pattern = 10 x 10 cm.
Note! The knitting needle sizes are given as a guideline. If there are too many stitches in a 10cm knitted pattern, use larger needles. If there are too few stitches in the 10 cm sample, take smaller needles.

EXPLANATIONS FOR KNITTING:
——————————————————-
PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2.
UNIFORM INCREASES:
To calculate the rhythm of performing uniform increases, divide the total number of stitches on the needles (for example, 64 stitches) by the number of loops that should be added (for example, 20) = 3.2.
In this example, to increase, make 1 yarn over after approximately every 3rd stitch.
DECREASES ON SLEEVES:
Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker like this: knit until there are 3 stitches left before the marker, knit 2 stitches together with a slant to the right, knit 2 (the marker will remain between these loops), knit 2 stitches together knit with a slant to the left (= decreased 2 loops).
TIP FOR CLOSURE LOOPES:
To prevent the closed edge from being pulled, you can use a larger needle size to bind off the stitches. If in this case the edge pulls, during closure you can make 1 yarn over approximately after every 6th loop and close it like a regular loop.

KNITTING DESCRIPTION:
——————————————————-
SWEATER, brief description of work:
Knit the neckline and yoke in the round on circular needles, from the middle of the back, from top to bottom. Divide the yoke into the body and sleeves and continue knitting the body in the round on circular needles. Sleeves are knitted in the round on stocking/short circular needles, from top to bottom.
NECK:
Cast on 64-68-72-76-80-84 stitches on 4.5mm short circular needles using DROPS Nepal.
Knit 1 round row with knit stitches, then knit ribbing (k1, p1) to a height of 4 cm.
Knit 1 round row with knit stitches and evenly add 20-28-24-32-28-36 stitches (see knitting instructions) = 84-96-96-108-108-120 stitches.
Place 1 marker at the beginning of the round, measure the yoke from this marker.
YOKE:
Work pattern A.1A on all stitches (= 7-8-8-9-9-10 repeats of 12 stitches) to a height of 4 cm, then A.1B (= 2 rounds).
There are currently 70-80-80-90-90-100 stitches on the needles. Change the knitting needles to 5.5 mm circular knitting needles.
Now knit A.2 on A.1 stitches (= 7-8-8-9-9-10 repeat 10 stitches). WATCH THE DENSITY OF KNITTING!
When A.2 is fully knitted in height, there are 196-224-224-252-252-280 stitches on the needles and the yoke length is approx. 20 cm from the marker on the neck.
Knit 1 round with knit stitches and evenly add 18-11-27-27-47-42 stitches = 214-235-251-279-299-322 stitches.
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch until the yoke measures 22-22-23-25-27-29 cm.
In the next round, divide the yoke into body and sleeves like this:
knit the first 30-33-35-39-43-48 stitches (= half back),
slip the next 46-50-54-60-62-64 stitches onto the holder (= sleeve) and cast on 8-8-10-10-12-12 new stitches for cutting,
knit the next 62-69-73-81-89-98 stitches (= front),
slip the next 46-50-54-60-62-64 stitches onto the holder (= sleeve) and cast on 8-8-10-10-12-12 new stitches for cutting,
knit the remaining 30-33-35-39-43-48 stitches (= half back).
Finish knitting the body and sleeves separately. FURTHER MEASUREMENTS WILL BE TAKEN FROM THIS PLACE!
BODY:
= 138-151-163-179-199-218 stitches.
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch in the round until 20-22-23-23-23-23 cm are worked from the split.
Remains approx. 10 cm to the final length of the sweater, you can try on the product and, if necessary, continue knitting to the desired length.
To prevent the bottom of the sweater from being pulled together, knit 1 round with knit stitches and evenly add 24-26-29-31-35-37 stitches = 162-177-192-210-234-255 stitches.
Change the knitting needles to circular knitting needles size 4.5 mm and knit an elastic band (k1, p2) to a height of 20 cm.
Close the loops according to the pattern, see the tip for closing the loops.
Sweater length – approx. 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm from shoulder down.
SLEEVES:
Slip 46-50-54-60-62-64 stitches from the holder on one side onto 5.5mm stocking/short circular needles and pick 1 stitch over each of the previously cast on 8-8-10-10-12-12 stitches undercut = 54-58-64-70-74-76 sts.
Place a marker in the middle of the undercut stitches and start the round from this marker.
Knit in stockinette stitch in the round to a height of 4 cm, then decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker, see instructions for knitting.
Make such decreases every 3½-3-2-1½-1½-1 cm, for a total of 8-9-11-13-15-15 times = 38-40-42-44-44-46 stitches.
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch until the sleeve length is 31-30-30-28-26-24 cm. Note: Larger sizes have shorter sleeves due to a wider neckline and longer yoke.
In the next round, evenly increase 4-5-6-7-7-8 stitches = 42-45-48-51-51-54 stitches.
Change the knitting needles to stocking needles size 4.5 mm and knit an elastic band (k1, p2) to a height of 10 cm.
Close the loops according to the drawing. Sleeve length – approx. 41-40-40-38-36-34 cm from the separation point.
Knit the second sleeve as well.
