Necessary materials:
Yarn (100% wool; 130 m / 50 grams per skein) – 14 (16, 18, 20, 22) skeins.
Required tools:
Needles No. 3.75, additional needle, stitch markers, stitch holders.
Knitting density:
23 loops and 34 rows = 10 cm of stockinette stitch after steaming;
64 panel loops with arans = 19 cm after steaming.
Back:
Cast on 164 (176, 188, 200, 212) stitches.
Start knitting elastic and pattern 1:

Repeat the last two rows, repeating rows 1-4 of pattern 1, until these 4 rows have been completed a total of 6 times. The height of the elastic band should be 7.5 cm.
Decrease row (purl): 2 (2, 2, 8, 4) purl loops, [2 purl stitches together, 4 (4, 4, 4, 5) purl loops] – 8 (9, 10, 10, 10) times, marker, 5th row of pattern 1, marker, [4 (4, 4, 4, 5) purl loops, purl 2 loops together] – 8 (9, 10, 10, 10) times, 2 (2, 2, 8, 4) purl loops - 148 (158, 168, 180, 192) loops on the knitting needles.
Continue knitting in the established order, knitting pattern 1 up to the 21st row inclusive, then repeat rows 22-59. At the same time knit as follows:
Next row (knit): knit stitches to marker, marker, knit next row of pattern, marker, knit stitches to end of row.
Next row (purl): purl stitches to marker, marker, knit next row of pattern, marker, purl stitches to end of row.
Repeat the last two rows until the knitting height reaches 15.5 cm from the cast-on row, ending with a purl row.
Decrease row (knit): 3 knit stitches, 2 knit stitches together with a slant to the right, marker, knit the next row of pattern, marker, knit stitches to the last 5 loops, knit 2 knit stitches together with a slant to the left, 3 knit stitches - 2 loops decreased.
Repeat these decreases in every 26th row 4 more times - there are 138 (148, 158, 170, 182) loops on the needles.
Continue knitting straight until the knitting height reaches 48 cm from the cast-on row, finishing with the front row.
Armhole formation:
Cast off 4 (4, 5, 6, 7) sts at beg of next 2 rows, 3 sts at beg of next 2 (4, 4, 4, 6) rows, 2 sts at beg of next 2 (2, 4) , 6, 6) rows.
Decrease row (knit): 3 knit stitches, knit 2 stitches together with a slant to the right, marker, knit the next row of the pattern, marker, knit stitches to the last 5 loops, knit 2 knit stitches together with a slant to the left, 3 knit stitches.
Repeat these decreases on each RS row 7 (7, 7, 8, 8) more times – 104 (108, 112, 116, 120) stitches on needles.
Continue knitting straight until the armhole height reaches 19 (20.5, 21.5, 23, 24) cm, finishing with a purl row.
Forming the neckline and shoulder bevel:
Mark the central 48 stitches with markers.
Next row (front row): cast off 4 (6, 6, 6, 8) stitches, knit to the center stitches highlighted with markers, join the yarn from the 2nd ball and cast off the center 48 stitches, knit to the end of the row. Knit both sides of the neckline at the same time. Cast off 4 (6, 6, 6, 8) stitches at the beginning of the next purl row, then cast off 5 (5, 6, 7, 7) stitches twice on each shoulder. At the same time, close 2 times with 5 loops on each side of the neckline and 1 time with 4 loops.
Left shelf:
Cast on 106 (112, 118, 124, 130) stitches.

Repeat the last two rows until the knitting height reaches 15.5 cm from the cast-on row, ending with a purl row.
Decrease row (knit): 3 knit stitches, knit 2 stitches together with a slant to the right, knit stitches to the marker, next row of Figure 1, 2 knit stitches - 1 loop decreased.
Repeat these decreases in every 26th row 4 more times - there are 97 (102, 108, 113, 119) loops on the needles.
Knit straight in the established order until the knitting height reaches 48 cm from the cast-on row, finishing with a purl row.
Armhole formation:
Note: after the 51st row of pattern 1 is completed, proceed to knitting pattern 2. This can happen simultaneously with the formation of the armhole.
Cast off 4 (4, 5, 6, 7) stitches at the beginning of the next knit row, then 3 stitches at the beginning of the 1 (2, 2, 2, 3) knit row and 2 stitches at the beginning of the next 1 (1, 2, 3, 3) row ) front row. Knit a purl row.

Collar continuation:
Next row (purl): slip 2 stitches, knit next row of pattern.
Next row (knit): knit the next row of the pattern, purl 2 stitches.
Repeat the last two rows, repeating rows 17-20 of figure 2, until the height of the collar reaches 12.5 cm after closing the shoulder, ending with a purl row.
Decrease row (knit): 1 purl loop, 1 knit loop, 2 knit loops together with a slant to the left, 2 knit loops together with a knit slant to the right, * 2 knit loops together with a knit slant to the right, [2 knit loops together with a knit slant left] – 2 times, [knit 2 stitches together with a slant to the right, knit 2 loops together with a slant to the left] – 3 times, knit 2 loops together with a slant to the right; repeat from * 1 more time, 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches – 28 stitches on the needles.
Knit 8 rows with knit stitches.
Cut the thread, leaving the end for the seam.

PCollar extension:

Repeat the last two rows, repeating rows 17-20 of figure 2, until the height of the collar reaches 12.5 cm after closing the shoulder, ending with a purl row.

Knit 9 rows with knit stitches.
Cut the thread, leaving a 60 cm end for the seam.
Place the stitches onto the stitch holder.
Sleeves:
Cast on 56 (56, 58, 60, 60) stitches.
Knit 6.5 cm with 1x1 rib (1 knit stitch, 1 purl loop), finish with a purl row.
Decrease row (knit): [knit 6 stitches, knit 2 stitches together with a slant to the right] – 6 times, knit stitches to the end of the row – 50 (50, 52, 54, 54) stitches on knitting needles.
Starting from the purl row, knit 7 rows of stockinette stitch (knit stitches in knit rows and purl stitches in purl rows).
Row of additions (knit): 2 knit loops, add 1 loop from the broach with a slant to the right, knit loops to the last 2 loops, add 1 loop from the broach with a slant to the left, 2 knit loops - 2 loops are added.
Knit 7 rows straight. Repeat a series of additions.
[Knit 15 (11, 11, 7, 5) rows straight, repeat the row of increases] – 6 (8, 9, 13, 17) times – on the knitting needles 66 (70, 74, 84, 92) loops.

Sleeve roll:
Cast off 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) sts at beg of next 2 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 2 (2, 2, 4, 4) rows.
Decrease row (knit): 3 knit stitches, 2 knit stitches together with a slant to the right, knit stitches to the last 5 loops, knit 2 knit stitches together with a slant to the left, 3 knit stitches.
Repeat these decreases on the next knit row, then every 4th row 8 (8, 9, 9, 9) times. Repeat decrease row on next knit row, then on every 2nd row 0 (2, 3, 3, 4) more times.
Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 (2, 2, 4, 4) rows, 3 sts at beg of next 2 (2, 2, 2, 4) rows. Cast off the remaining 24 stitches.
Completion:
Steam the parts. Sew shoulder seams. Connect both parts of the collar using a knitted seam shown in the video tutorial
Sew the collar along the back neckline. Sew in the sleeves. Sew side seams and sleeve seams. Steam the seams of the aran cardigan.
