Short ribbed jumper

The cross stripes of this short jumper look as if they were specially gathered together. In fact, the loops are simply decreased and increased regularly.

Yarn (72% cotton, 17% sheep wool, 11% alpaca wool; 215 m/50 g) - 350 (450) g light gray; knitting needles No. 5 and 6; hook No. 4.5.

RURAL STAIN STITCH

Front rows - purl loops, purl rows - front loops.

BASIC PATTERN

The number of loops is a multiple of 2 + 1 p. + 2 chrome. Each row begins and ends with chrome. loop.

From the 1st to the 5th row, knitting needles No. 5: stockinette stitch.

6th r. (= purl row), knitting needles No. 6: * knit 1, knit 3 stitches from the next stitch (= knit 1, knit 1 crossed, knit 1), from * repeat, finish knit 1.

From the 7th to the 9th row, knitting needles No. 6: purl stitch.

10th r. (= purl row), knitting needles No. 6: * K1, knit 3 stitches together, from * repeat, finish k1.

Repeat in height from the 1st to the 10th row, making sure to change the number of needles.

Attention

The number of repeat loops in height varies. After the 6th p.m. on the knitting needles in each rapport 4 stitches, and after the 10th row. in each repeat there are again 2 stitches. In all calculations, we proceeded from the number of loops of the 1st row. pattern (= 2 stitches in repeat).

KNITTING DENSITY

13 p. x 23.5 r. = 10 x 10 cm, knitted with the main pattern on knitting needles No. 5 and No. 6.

COMPLETING OF THE WORK

BACK

On needles No. 5, cast on 59 (69) sts with double thread and knit with the main pattern.

After 13 cm = 30 r. from the cast-on row, add on both sides for seamless knitted sleeves, first 1 time for 1 p., then 4 more times alternately in every 2nd r. and every 4th r. (4 times in every 4th row) 1 p., knit the added loops according to the pattern = 69 (79) p. on the knitting needles.

After 36 cm = 85 rub. (40.5 cm = 95 r.) from the cast-on row in the next purl. row, purl all the loops with a needle No. 5 (= the middle 39 sts form the straight edge of the neckline, 15 (20) sts on either side of them form the shoulder edges).

BEFORE

Knit like a back.

SLEEVES

On needles No. 5, cast on 35 stitches with double thread and knit with the main pattern.

After 17 cm = 40 r. from the cast-on row, add on both sides for bevels, first 1 time for 1 p., then 3 times in every 12th row. and 2 times every 10th r. (9 times in every 6th row) 1 p., knit the added loops in accordance with the pattern = 47 (55) p. on the knitting needles.

After 44.5 cm = 105 rows from the cast-on row in the next purl. In the row, purl all the loops not too tightly.

ASSEMBLY

Sew shoulder seams.

On the front side, tie the edge of the neck with a hook No. 4.5, laying a row of connections under next to the closed loops. columns (thread goes from below).

Sew in the sleeves. Sew side seams and sleeve seams.
