You will need: yarn (66% cotton, 34% nylon; 120 m/50 g) - 500 (550) 600 g color. orchids; knitting needles No. 4 and 4.5; long circular needles No. 4.
Pattern 1: garter stitch = knit and purl rows - knit stitches.
Pattern 2: openwork pattern (the number of loops is a multiple of 5 + 2 edge loops) = knit according to the pattern. It shows only the front rows. In the purl rows, knit the loops according to the pattern, knit the yarn overs purl. Constantly repeat rapport between edges.
Constantly repeat 1-6th r. When making increases and decreases, make sure that the number of yarn overs and loops knitted together matches.
Emphasized decreases: at the beginning of the row = edge, 1 purl and 2 stitches, knit together with a slant to the left (= slip 1 stitch like a knit stitch, knit 1, then pull it through the removed loop); at the end of the row = knit until the last 4 stitches, then knit 2 stitches together, purl 1 and edge stitch.
Knitting density: pattern 2 - 18.5 p. x 28 r. = 10 x 10 cm.
Attention: knitting density measured on a model laid out on a horizontal surface. When worn, the cardigan will stretch a little more.
Description of knitting a cardigan
Back: on knitting needles No. 4, cast on 92 (102) 112 sts and for the bottom bar knit 1.5 cm = 5 r. pattern 1, while starting with 1 purl row.
Continue working on knitting needles No. 4.5 with pattern 2. After 51.5 cm = 144 r. close from the bottom bar on both sides for armholes 1 x 7 (9) 11 p. = 78 (84) 90 p.
After 70 cm = 196 rub. (71.5 cm = 200 rub.) 73 cm = 204 rub. from the bottom bar close on both sides for shoulder bevels 1 x 8 (9) 10 p. and in the 2nd p. another 1 x 8 (9) 10 p.
After 71.5 cm = 200 rub. (73 cm = 204 rub.) 74.5 cm = 208 rub. from the bottom bar close the remaining 46 (48) 50 sts, with the middle 32 sts forming the neck, the outer 7 (8) 9 sts forming the shoulders.
Left shelf: On knitting needles No. 4, cast on 47 (52) 57 sts and knit the bottom bar, as on the back. Continue working on knitting needles No. 4.5 using pattern 2.
After 48.5 cm = 136 rubles. (50 cm = 140 rub.) 51.5 cm = 144 rub. from the bottom bar, emphasize the left edge to bevel the neckline 1 x 1 p., then alternately in every 2nd and 4th p. 5 x 1 p. and in every 4th p. 11 x 1 p. Make an armhole and a shoulder bevel along the right edge, as on the back. At the height of the back, bind off the remaining 7 (8) 9 stitches of the shoulder.
Right shelf: knit in the same way as the left front, but in a mirror image.
Sleeves: On knitting needles No. 4, dial on 47 (49) 52 sts for each sleeve and knit 2 cm = 7 r for the strap. pattern 1, while starting with 1 purl row. Continue working on knitting needles No. 4.5 with pattern 2, while for size 2 start with 1 edge stitch and the last stitch of repeat, repeat the repeat all the time, finish with 1 st stitch of repeat and 1 stitch of edge stitch.
At the same time, add on both sides for bevels every 12th row. from the bar 10 × 1 p. (in every 10th r. 12 x 1 p.) in every 10th r. 8 x 1 p. and in every 8th r. 5 x 1 p. acc. pattern = 67 (73) 78 p.
After 52 cm = 146 rubles. (53 cm = 148 rub.) 54 cm = 152 rub. close all loops from the bar.
Assembly: sew shoulder seams. To bind the neckline, use circular knitting needles to cast on 95 (97) 99 stitches along the sides of the shelves, 53 stitches along the bevels of the front neckline and 30 stitches along the edge of the back neckline. Then knit pattern 1 on all 326 (330) 334 stitches. The width of the binding is 2 cm, close all the loops. Sew in the sleeves, stretching them slightly. Sew side seams and sleeve seams.
