Description of women's pullover from designer Anna Harris
Dimensions:
Chest circumference – 85 (94, 103, 113, 122, 131) cm.
Yarn required:
Cascade Yarns Longwood (100% merino wool; 175 m / 100 grams per skein) – 6 (7, 8, 9, 9, 10) skeins.
Required tools:
Size 4 needles, size 4 circular needles 40cm long, stitch markers, removable marker, extra needle, stitch holder, tapestry needle.
Knitting density:
19 loops and 32 rows = 10 cm of shawl pattern;
21 loops and 29 rows = 10 cm of stockinette stitch;
18 loops and 29 rows = 10 cm of openwork pattern;
22 panel loops with harnesses = 8.5 cm wide.
Notes:
The front and back of the pullover are made separately in straight and reverse rows from bottom to top, and then sewn together.
The sleeves are knitted from top to bottom.
Openwork pattern:
(number of loops is a multiple of 3)
1st row (front):
1 knit stitch, *1 purl loop, 1 yarn over, knit 2 stitches together with a slant to the left;
repeat from * to last 2 stitches, purl 1, knit 1.
2nd row (purl):
2 knit stitches, *2 purl loops, 1 knit stitch;
repeat from * to last stitch, knit 1 stitch.
3rd row:
1 knit stitch, 1 purl loop, *knit 2 loops together with a knit stitch tilted to the right, 1 yarn over, 1 purl loop;
repeat from * to last stitch, knit 1 stitch.
4th row:
repeat row 2.
For rapport, repeat rows 1-4.
Back:
Using straight needles, cast on 11 (12, 13, 16, 19, 26) stitches.
Next row (purl):
knit stitches to the last stitch, knit 1 stitch behind the front wall and behind the back wall - 1 loop is added.
Next row (front row):
Knit 1 loop behind the front wall and behind the back wall, knit stitches to the end of the row - 1 loop is added.
Repeat the last two rows another 20 (22, 24, 25, 26, 25) times - on 53 (58, 63, 68, 73, 7 loops).
Next row (purl):
knit stitches to the last 5 stitches, place a marker, knit 4 stitches, knit 1 stitch behind the front wall and behind the back wall - 54 (59, 64, 69, 74, 79) stitches on knitting needles.
Next row (front row):
Knit 1 stitch behind the front wall and behind the back wall, 3 knit stitches, knit the lower edge of the back according to the pattern to the marker, marker, knit stitches to the end of the row - 1 loop is added.
Next row (purl):
knit stitches to marker, marker, knit in the established order until the last 5 loops, knit 4 loops, knit 1 loop behind the front wall and behind the back wall - 1 loop added.

knit stitches to marker, marker, knit pattern to marker, marker, 4 knit stitches, knit 1 stitch behind the front wall and behind the back wall - 76 (81, 86, 91, 96, 101) stitches on knitting needles.
Next row (front row):
Knit 1 loop behind the front wall and behind the back wall, knit stitches to the marker, marker, knit the pattern to the marker, marker, knit stitches to the end of the row - 1 loop is added.
Next row (purl):
knit stitches to the marker, marker, pattern to the marker, marker, purl stitches to the last 5 loops, 4 knit stitches, knit 1 stitch behind the front wall and behind the back wall - 1 loop added.

Next row (purl):

Place a removable marker at the end of the row.

Armhole formation:
Cast off 6 (6, 9, 12, 13, 15) stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows, cast off 1 stitch at the beginning of the next 6 (6, 12, 12, 16, 1 rows, finish with a knit row - left on the needles 69 (78, 75, 78, 81, 84) stitches.
Work 3 rows with knit stitches, removing markers.
Continue knitting in an openwork pattern until the armhole height reaches 11.5 (12.5, 12.5, 14, 14, 15) cm, finishing with a purl row.
Neckline:
Next row (front row):
Knit 26 (30, 29, 29, 30, 31) stitches and transfer these stitches to the stitch holder for the right side of the back neckline, cast off 17 (18, 17, 20, 21, 22) stitches, knit to the end of the row - on knitting needles 26 (30, 29, 29, 30, 31) stitches for the left side of the back neckline.
Left side of back neckline:
Knit 1 purl row.
At the beginning of the front rows, bind off 1 loop 8 (10, 9, 9, 10, 10) times - there are 18 (20, 20, 20, 20, 21) loops left on the needles.
Continue knitting straight until the armhole height reaches 19 (20.5, 20.5, 21.5, 21.5, 23) cm. Cast off all stitches.
Right side of back neckline:
Return 26 (30, 29, 29, 30, 31) stitches to the needles and join the working yarn on the wrong side.
At the beginning of the purl rows, bind off 1 loop 8 (10, 9, 9, 10, 10) times - there are 18 (20, 20, 20, 20, 21) loops left on the needles.
Continue knitting straight until the armhole height reaches 19 (20.5, 20.5, 21.5, 21.5, 23) cm. Cast off all stitches.
Before:

Place a removable marker at the beginning of the row.

Knit 1 stitch behind the front wall and behind the back wall, 0 (1, 3, 4, 5, 5) knit stitches, place a marker, 22 aran stitches, place a marker, knit stitches to the end of the row - on knitting needles 25 ( 27, 31, 33, 35, 35) loops.
Only for sizes 85 and 94:
A number of additions:
Knit 1 stitch behind the front wall and behind the back wall, knit stitches to the marker, marker, pattern to the marker, marker, knit stitches to the end of the row - 1 loop added.
Repeat these additions in each row another 39 (41) times, finish with the front row - there are 65 (69) loops on the needles.
Only for sizes 103, 113, 122 and 131:
A number of additions:
Knit 1 stitch behind the front wall and behind the back wall, knit stitches to the marker, marker, pattern to the marker, marker, knit stitches to the end of the row - 1 loop added.
Repeat these additions on each row 5 (5, 1, 1) more times, ending with a knit row.
Work 2 (4, 2, 2) rows straight.
Repeat the last 8 (10, 4, 4) rows another 4 (3, 11, 11) times, then repeat 2 (4, 0, 0) times only the row of increases - there are 63 (61, 59, 59) loops on the needles.
Work 2 more (2, 0, 0) rows straight, ending with a knit row.
For all sizes:
Cast on 6 (6, 9, 12, 13, 15) stitches at the end of the next 2 rows - 77 (81, 81, 85, 85, 89) stitches on needles.
Decrease row (front):
1 knit stitch, 2 knit stitches together with a slant to the left, knit stitches to the marker, marker, pattern to the marker, marker, knit stitches to the last 3 loops, knit 2 knit loops together with a slant to the right, 1 knit stitch - decreased 2 loops.
Repeat these decreases in every 6th row another 15 (17, 17, 17, 17, 17) times - 45 (45, 45, 49, 49, 53) stitches on the needles.
Continue knitting straight until the sleeve length reaches 33 (35.5, 35.5, 38, 38, 40.5) cm from the armpit
At the longest point, finish with a purl row.
Cast on 3 stitches and bind off all stitches on the front side with i-cord.
Completion:
Thread the ends of the threads. Steam the parts. Sew shoulder seams. Sew the sleeves into the armholes. Sew sleeve seams and side seams.
Neck strap:
Using circular needles and on the front side, starting from the right shoulder, cast on and knit 98 (112, 104, 112, 124) stitches along the edge of the neckline. Cast on 4 stitches and bind off all stitches on the front side with i-cord.
