Oversized kimono cardigan with turn-ups and short sleeves

Short sleeves and an interesting collar style are details that open up enormous possibilities for you! 

Dimensions: 36/38 (40/42) 44/46.

You will need:

• 300 (350) 400 g each of dark red melange (col. 5) and burgundy wine melange (col. 6) Anima yarn (44% alpaca, 23% cotton, 20% mohair, 13% polyamide, 140 m/50 g) Lana Grossa;
• knitting needles No. 7,
• circle. knitting needles number 7.

Knit with double thread: 1 thread of each yarn.

Knotted edge: 1st p. of each r. remove as persons. The last p. of each r. knit faces. All edges are knotted.

Garter stitch: persons and out. r.-persons P.

Knitting density: 11.5 p. and 22.5 r. = 10 x 10 cm (garter stitch with double thread, needles No. 7).

Description of work: for left sleeve Using double thread, cast on 42 (44) 46 sts and knit in garter stitch with knotted edges. For bevels in the 17th and 33rd r. add 1 p. on both sides = 46 (48) 50 p. After 21.5 cm = 48 r. from the initial river for rounding the kimono, add on both sides in every 2nd r. 3 x 1 p. = 52 (54) 56 p. After 14 (16) 18 cm = 32 (36) 40 r. from last addition for neckline divide the work in the middle and knit further separately: for the back, set aside 65 (66) 67 sts from the right edge and knit 65 (66) 67 sts from the left edge for the left front, while in the 1st r. for the collar, re-cast on 14 sts from the right edge = 79 (80) 81 sts and continue straight knitting. After 25 cm = 56 r. Close the loops from the beginning of the collar.

For the right shelf with a collar Using double thread, cast on 79 (80) 81 sts and knit in garter stitch. After 25 cm = 56 r. from the initial river close from the right edge for the collar 14 sts, set aside the remaining 65 (66) 67 sts.

Put into work the deferred 65 (66) 67 sts of the back, while from the left edge, re-cast 14 sts for the collar = 79 (80) 81 sts and knit further straight, see the area highlighted in gray on the pattern (adjacent, not highlighted area refers to the front collar).

After 20 cm = 46 r. from the beginning of the collar, close 14 sts of the collar again from the left edge = 65 (66) 67 sts and on all open loops (back and right front) = 130 (132) 134 sts. knit the 2nd half symmetrically to the first, doing instead of increases decrease. After the last r. close the loop sleeves.

Assembly: perform side seams - sleeve seams. Sew the short sides of the front collar and back above the shoulders so that when worn, they act as a stand-up collar on the inside.
