Shetland mohair dress

The dress is knitted in two threads:

Stages of knitting a dress:

First, the border is knitted, loops are picked up along its edge and the skirt is knitted in the circle without seams, then in the circle until the armhole.

 From the armhole we knit each part of the front and back separately.

 The sleeve is regular, set-in.

The dress is knitted from bottom to top in a single fabric in the round: one row with knit stitches, the other with purl stitches. You can also knit in turning rows, then we knit all the time with facial loops (garter knitting).

Basic pattern diagram

Border scheme.

For the dress we knit 21 repeat borders. We sew the border with a knitted seam into a circle.

Along the edge of the border, we evenly cast on 224 loops for 14 repeats (for 16 loops) and knit according to the pattern from the 1st to the 40th row.

We repeat the pattern for 16 loops 3 times.

In the last 40th row of the third repeat, we make decreases to move to the next pattern of 14 loops. The place of decrease is indicated in the diagram below.

We continue knitting with a pattern of 12 loops from the 1st to the 36th row - 168 loops

Далее до проймы повторим раппорт из 6-ти рядов (31-36ряды) — 4 раза

Next we divide the knitting into the back and front.

In the armhole we close 10 loops on each side.

Далее вяжем отдельно каждую часть —  6 раппортов в ширину – 74 петли  и раппорт из 6-ти рядов (31-36ряды) – 8 раз.

We close 20 loops on each side on the shoulders. Sew the shoulder seams.

Leave the neck loops open.

Collar

We knit a narrow border - collar - stand according to the pattern.

We knit 18 rapports - border teeth with knitting needles No. 2.5 mm

Кайма ввязывается в отложенные петли края Основной части следующим образом: крайние петли по ровному краю в 1 и 5 рядах провязываются вместе лицевой с 1 соответствующей петлей основной части,  крайние петли по ровному краю в 3 и 7 рядах провязываются вместе изнаночной с 1 соответствующей петлей основной части, в изнаночных рядах — петлю снять не провязывая.

You can thread a silicone transparent elastic band through the wrong side, and the neck line will not stretch in the sock.

Sleeve

For the sleeve we knit a large border of 6 repeats. Sew the side seams of the border.

Along the edge of the border we cast on 64 loops - 4 repeats of 16 loops each and knit in a circle according to the pattern for 16 loops 2 times from the 1st to the 40th row.

Next, we knit a repeat of 6 rows (31-36 rows) -4 times.

Knitted to the armhole.

We knit the sleeve head 42 rows in rotating rows.

The decrease scheme is in order:

We sew in the sleeves.

We knit a large border on 21 repeats and sew it to the hem of the underdress.

The underdress is made of knitwear to match the yarn.
