The unusual cable pattern on this sweater pairs perfectly with the wide ribbed sleeves and voluminous golf collar.

KNITTING DENSITY
Braid pattern: 15 p. x 18 p. = 10 x 10 cm;
Elastic pattern: 14.5 p. x 18 r. = 10 x 10 cm.
NOTE!
Changing needles after the first 8 rows on the front and back is for stabilization and is not taken into account in the knitting sample and pattern.
BACK
On knitting needles No. 6.5, cast on 76 (82) 88 loops and knit with the “Braid” pattern, and after 8 rows switch to knitting needles No. 7.
For shoulder bevels, after 51 cm = 92 rows from the cast-on row, close off 1 x 3 stitches on both sides, then in every 2nd row close off 6 x 2 stitches (3 x 2 stitches and 3 x 3 stitches) 6 x 3 p.
At the same time, for the neckline, after 55.5 cm = 100 rows from the cast-on row, close off the middle 32 stitches and finish both sides separately.
To round the neckline along the inner edge, bind off 2 x 1 sts in every 2nd row.
After 59 cm = 106 rows from the bar, close off the remaining 5 shoulder stitches on both sides.
BEFORE
Knit like a back, but with a deeper neckline; for this, already after 53.5 cm = 96 rows from the bar, close the middle 24 sts, then in every 2nd row close 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 sts.
SLEEVES
On knitting needles No. 7, cast on 26 (30) 34 sts and knit with an elastic band.
At the same time, for the bevels of the sleeves from the cast-on row according to the figure, add 4 x 1 p. in every 18th row (in every 14th row 5 x 1 p.) in every 12th row 6 x 1 p. = 34 (40) 46 p.
After 42 cm = 76 rows from the set of rows, bind off all loops.
ASSEMBLY
Sew shoulder seams.
For the collar along the neckline, cast on 128 stitches on circular needles and knit with an elastic band. After 26 cm from the beginning of the collar, close all the loops freely according to the figure.
Sew the sleeve, adjust the side and wide sleeves.
